Validation of Responsible Care
Our Stakeholders appreciate the ethics behind Responsible Care but they are now beginning to ask for tangible proof that the Programme is working effectively in your company. To meet their concerns, CBA has been in the forefront of the development of the European Single Assessment Document (ESAD) for chemical distributors. First launched in 1999, it has been updated to ESAD II and CBA is encouraging all their members to have independent third party assessment of their RC activities. The management system of ESAD II follows closely the modular three year Improvement Plan that will already be familiar to you.
Thus ESAD II is an independent check to see that you are ‘walking the talk’.
