CHEMICAL SECURITY – A KEY CBA CONFERENCE

The key role played by chemicals in terrorist incidents highlights the need to preserve the security and integrity of the chemical supply chain.

To ensure companies are up-to-date on anti-terrorist initiatives relevant to the chemical supply chain, the Chemical Business Association (CBA) has organised a confidential briefing which will focus on effective measures to reduce the potential risks arising from chemicals in transit – in the UK and Europe.

The CBA Conference will hear presentations from experts representing key departments of government and relevant organisations covering:

·         European security developments

·        Security - key personnel issues

·         Anti-terrorist initiatives for the chemical supply chain

·         Counter Terrorism Security Advisor

·         Site Audits by the Vehicle Operating Standards Agency

·         New developments - transport security

·         Security assessments – the IMPROVE Project

The one day Conference takes place on Tuesday 10 July at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry.

“This is an important conference for all companies in the chemical supply chain,” said the CBA’s Chief Executive, Peter Newport.  “Maintaining the security of chemicals in transit is the top priority for CBA and its member companies,” he added.
