23/03/2010 - CBA Issues guidance on the distribution of Hydrofluoric Acid - The Chemical Business Association (CBA) has today issued guidance for its member companies on the distribution of packaged Hydrofluoric Acid. Originally issued in May 2009, the guidance has now received the formal endorsement of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) which has allowed it to set standards for the whole chemical supply chain, rather than just CBA member companies.

The CBA believes ECHA will be massively over-funded based on the extent to which it underestimated the number of REACH pre-registrations it would receive. Instead of the forecast 150,000 pre-registrations, ECHA in fact received 2.7 million - eighteen times more than it expected.

07/05/2008 - CBA Logistics Index results - Issued under the auspices of its Responsible Care programme, the Logistics Index was first published last year and covers CBA’s member companies engaged in chemical road haulage, warehousing and tank farms operations. The Index contains aggregate annual data on measures such as transport incidents, lost time accidents and enforcement actions taken by the regulatory authorities.
