Carbon Literacy Training
23 October 2023 to 1 November 2023
Online
Carbon Literacy is “An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions on an individual, community and organisational basis.”
This training runs over 2 3-hour interactive sessions. To complete the course and be certified as Carbon Literate then you will need to attend all sessions. The course will provide insight to help individuals and companies make informed choices to reduce their carbon impact.
An example of attendee feedback was:
‘I found the course very interesting, and it showed the CO2 benefit of relatively simple changes we can all make in our everyday life!’
The course will be presented by Danish Zaiful Azri, Regulatory and Supply Chain Support at the Chemical Business Association.
Each delegate on successful completion of the training will be certified as Carbon Literate. They will then be able to roll out Carbon Literacy to their organisation.
Places on this training course are limited to 15, so places available to each company may be limited dependent on demand.
The training will cover:
- What are greenhouse gases?
- Weather, global warming and climate change
- Impacts of climate change
- The carbon impacts of our choices
- Carbon footprinting
- How your choices affect climate change
- How to make a difference individually or as an organisation
