Health and Safety Leadership Workshop

Health and Safety Leadership Workshop

10 November 2022

Hybrid: Online/Crewe

NEW DATE

NEW DATE TO BE CONFIRMED

All workers are entitled to work in environments where risks to their health and safety are properly controlled. Under health and safety law, the primary responsibility for this is down to employers.

However, workers also have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.

As a Company Director, manager or person with responsibility for safety on a site(s), your role is central to maintaining operating standards and taking a leadership role on safety issues. As a company director, additional legal liabilities and the potential penalties involved are further compelling reasons why ‘Safety Leadership’ and effective regulatory compliance are now at the top of the business agenda.

The Health & Safety Executive, supported by CBA, has made the safety leadership specifically at COMAH sites a priority. HSE Inspectors will be looking for visible and tangible evidence of CEO / Board level leadership on safety issues. Many companies have previously used attendance at this course as evidence of CEO/Board level commitment to safety leadership when questioned by HSE Inspectors at both COMAH and non-COMAH sites.

This CBA workshop is designed for all levels of management and provides a comprehensive review of safety legislation, effective procedures and systems to monitor performance and aims to raise awareness of the responsibilities that all managers and supervisors are expected to maintain.

You will receive up-to-the-minute briefings on:

  • Safety Leadership Principles
