Peter Newport, CBA Chief Executive, said, “CBA broadly welcomes the Government’s revised approach to UK REACH.  But the key issues remain concerning the testing data supporting UK REACH registrations and the fees proposed to fund this process. Both these factors could act as a disincentive for companies to register substances under the UK’s new regime.  Recent survey evidence shows that a significant proportion of UK and non-UK companies have already made a decision not to register substances under UK REACH.”
