Polish manufacturing giant, ORLEN S.A., has chosen multi-service chemical specialist, Airedale Group, as the distributor for its groundbreaking Bio Monopropylene Glycol (MPG) range in the UK.

Made from vegetable oil, it is 100% renewable, classed under the 2018/2001/EC directive which promotes use of renewable forms of energy and also holds ISO14064 for quantifying and reporting greenhouse emissions.

It has the same range of properties and applications as traditional MPG but provides a sustainable alternative for those looking to create more environmentally-responsible formulations.

ORLEN S.A. senior sales representative, Paweł Chlebowski, explains: “Airedale Group’s presence in the relevant UK markets, plus the customer service they are able to offer, makes them the ideal partner for this venture.

“We have been developing this innovative product for a long time, so we are looking forward to seeing how it is received in the UK.”

Its United States Pharmacopeia (USP) certification indicates the purity of the range, making it ideal for premium products in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and personal care sectors, as well as food manufacture, animal feed production and industrial applications such as antifreeze.

Richard Ward, managing director of Airedale Group, added: “We’re confident that this product has great potential in the UK as manufacturers in all industries look for more sustainable products to support ESG obligations and satisfy environmentally-aware end users and we will be using our existing relationships to maximise the opportunities for Bio MPG to UK markets.”
