Brenntag Blending Solutions  welcomes two new members of the team. Andrew Ferris joins Brenntag as the Business Manager for Blending Solutions, with a responsibility to lead Brenntag’s extensive blending capabilities and develop this exciting area of the business.
Andrew has spent most of his career to-date working at VWR International, where he was the Regional Sales Manager for North England, leading a team to develop business in laboratory chemicals and consumables.  Prior to that, he worked for Croda in a number of commercial roles for their Healthcare team.  Andrew holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from Durham University.  Andrew says: “I’m thrilled to have joined the great team at Brenntag.  The blending business offers a major value-added service for our customers.  It’s an exciting time to be on board, as there is significant capital investment within the business, to further support blending growth across the UK & Ireland.”

To further support the focus in blending, Shaun Parkinson takes on the role of Business Development Manager.  Shaun has many years of technical blending experience at Brenntag’s Bradford depot  (the facility that focuses on high value, low volume, technically complex lots) and has worked on a wide selection of different products, ranging from simple powder into water dilutions at one end of the scale, up to more complex multi component blends which also include reaction chemistry under IPPC license. An area of particular interest is the manufacture of silicone emulsions for various industries, including the water treatment sector. Shaun’s appointment adds to the ongoing investment into blending, as the company has recently commissioned a major upgrade of the Brenntag Blending Solutions facility at Bradford.
