Expert duo join chemical company to boost …

A Yorkshire chemical specialist has made two new appointments, with 60 years of experience between them, as part of its drive to advance its speciality divisions and increase its technical knowledge.

Airedale Group manufactures and supplies speciality and commodity chemicals to sectors across the UK and Europe and provides chemical services including toll manufacturing and small pack filling.

Tony Griffin joins the company as head of technical following 25 years of industry experience and more than a decade at Unilever working on household names such as Sure deodorant and Jeyes cleaning fluid.

Tony’s role will be unlike others before him as he takes on a more holistic approach, with greater input into how the production and operations departments are run, identifying ways for them to work together to increase efficiency as well as provide technical input into product research and development.

Eddie Sibert bolsters the Metal Surface Treatment division with an additional 35 years of experience in the chemical industry including ten years at Henkel Metal Surface Finishing in both engineering and sales.

He will identify the industries and applications in the UK where Airedale Group can share products from its partner, Haug Chemie, which brings highly-engineered and niche surface treatment products from Germany.
