We are delighted to share the fantastic news that both Mottie Kessler MBE and Dr Maggie Kessler have been nominated in the Queen’s Birthday 2022 Honours List for the Honour of Officer of the Order of the British Empire  (OBE).

Both Maggie and Mottie will be made OBE at an investiture in Buckingham Palace later this year.

The award is in recognition of the co-owners’ Services to Industry and Exporting in the North West of England.

2M are currently holders of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and Mottie was awarded an MBE in 2017 by HRH Prince Charles.

Mottie and Maggie say:

“As co-owners, we are honoured that this award recognises our continued growth and investment in Science, the tireless efforts of our key worker teams, and the vital importance of the UK’s Science Industry. The DIT are key partners in our success.”

With a British HQ,  8 UK sites and 9 international subsidiaries, the DIT has helped 2M reach over 90 export countries.

2M has grown rapidly since its inception in 2014 and continues to invest in infrastructure and job creation in the Chemical industry. The 2M STEM outreach programme reaches circa 550 young people every year, while the 2M Academy helps staff at all levels grow and develop, most recently launching a Women’s leadership programme.

2M remained open during the recent pandemic, hiring additional staff to support vital industries in the UK and abroad. 2M’s key worker teams made and donated over 20,000 bottles of hand sanitiser to front line teams across the UK.
