The CBA careers outreach training is for anyone who can do at least one engagement activity per year and share their career journey with young people in school/college/university.  Following the training each delegate will be asked sign up with STEM UK as a Generation STEAM Ambassador.

Date: Tuesday 6^th August, 12.00 – 16.30 including a networking lunch

As an Industry Ambassador, you will join a network of professionals trained to engage, inspire, and enthuse young people into careers in the science industries. This interactive training will equip you with the skills to engage with and inspire the next generation of talent for your sector. It will help you to;

• Develop knowledge, confidence, and skills in planning engaging group activities.
• Deliver industry careers workshops to local schools, colleges, and universities and inspire young people.
• Challenge the stereotypes associated with working in science – share your story!
• Promote your company’s career opportunities and inspire future talent.
• Network with fellow Ambassadors and work together to challenge perceptions.

All course materials will be provided, you will need to bring a pen and paper with you, and please prepare a 1 minute ‘ Who Am I?’ introduction. This is a short, snappy introduction that you would use when you first meet a group of young people (for example, on a visit to a school) to tell them who you are, what you do, and how you got there.
