CLP Regulation Post-Brexit Divergence
22 June 2023
Online
The CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) regulation is based on the United Nations Globally Harmonised System (GHS) and is the system for determining hazards and communicating them down the supply chain. When the UK left the European Union the existing EU CLP regulation was copied across into UK legislation. At this point the GB and EU CLP regulations were exactly the same. Since this time the regulations have been diverging.
Louise Witter from Chemical Legislation Professionals will present an update on the post Brexit divergence of the EU and GB CLP regulations. The presentation will cover:
- EU CLP delegated act and GHS
- EU CLP proposal status
- Annex VIII and poison centre notification
- GB mandatory classification list and EU harmonised classification
- EU ATPs
There will also be ample time for a Q&A session after the presentation for delegates to ask their CLP questions.
