The workshop is aimed to give general awareness to all on those involved in Health and Safety and their roles in ensuring compliance.

The workshop provides a basic insight into aspects of:

• Introduction to workplace hazards and their risk.
• Common occupational injuries.
• H&S law.
• What is an accident / incident and the consequent prevention and reporting.
• Fire safety.
• Hazardous substances – Safe handling, COSHH assessments what they are and their importance.
• Manual handling covering – the spine, common injuries, correct techniques, and T.I.L.E assessments.
• DSE and the correct set up.
• Risk Assessments.
