In line with the government’s programme of ‘Smarter Regulation’, the HSE is exploring opportunities to reform the three chemical supply regulations that they have the policy lead for:

• GB Classification, Labelling and Packaging of substances and mixtures (GB CLP)
  • GB Biocidal Products Regulation (GB BPR)
  • GB Prior Informed Consent for the export and import of certain hazardous chemicals (GB PIC)

They have launched a consultation on the proposed changes that are aimed at reducing costs to business. This short Online Clinic is designed to:

• The proposed changes to the CLP, BPR and PIC regulations
• Explain the detail of the consultation
• Provide opportunity for our members to share their views on the proposals
• Discuss information requirements for consultation responses
