The five-year gap between DGSA requalification’s and the fact that most people only use very specific provisions on a day-to-day basis often means that candidates are less prepared than they would like.
To aid those considering requalification, the Chemical Business Association has designed a two-day workshop to update and refresh all aspects of the ADR chapters and provide specific exam guidance and question practice.
The exam is an ‘open book’ format and so all the information necessary is at the candidate’s fingertips. However, candidates also need to understand ‘how to apply the knowledge’, ‘what the markers will be looking for’ and ‘how to reference the answers’

Root Cause Analysis

The workshop provides a practical insight into aspects of Root Cause Analysis including:
● The tools used to investigate failures
● How to visually represent failure events
● The underpinning models and theories required in order to correctly identify root causes
● How to develop relevant and cost effective corrective actions
● How to categorise different types of root causes, which allows an organisation to identify trends and patterns that can be addressed directly and pro-actively
● How to approach failures, to contain the issue to protect the customer and the business, to create time and space to undertake an RCA, and to ensure the actions from the RCA are effective
● The importance of the RCA management system in identifying failures and ensuring that RCAs are initiated and completed
