15 October 2020

Virtual Workshop

The workshop provides a basic insight into aspects of poison centre notifications including:

  • Legal requirements
    • Current requirements
    • New CLP annex VIII
    • Brexit Implications
  • Notification
    • Obligations
    • Information requirements
    • UFIs and data submission
  • Future Developments

Why attend?
The requirement to notify hazardous mixtures through the ECHA submission portal comes into effect on 1st January 2021 for consumer and professional use mixtures.
The notification requires data to be submitted through the ECHA submission portal for each hazardous mixture that is placed on the EU market. It is also required to create a unique formula identifier (UFI), which needs to be on the product label. These new requirements are further complicated by Brexit, as they enter into force at the end of the transition period when the UK will no longer be an EU member state.
In the workshop we will discuss the existing poison centre notification requirements in EU member states. How notification now means you could take advantage of the transitional period. We will discuss the new harmonised requirements, UFI generation, data requirements and Brexit implications.

Who should attend?
The workshop is suitable for all levels of personnel requiring a basic practical knowledge of the EU poison centre notification requirements.
It will be useful to those specifically responsible for completing poison centre notifications.
