On 26 January 2025, the “Technical Regulation for the Safety of Chemical Products” (Ukraine REACH) came into force. This regulation adopts key principles of the European REACH Regulation, advancing Ukraine’s alignment with the European Union’s regulatory framework.

Ukraine REACH mandates that companies (legal entities) manufacturing or importing substances into Ukraine at quantities of ≥1 tonne per year must pre-register and, eventually, register these substances with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
