The importance of Sustainable Procurement and Circular Economy
20 April 2023
Increasing consumer demand for sustainable products creates market opportunities and potential reputational benefits. The majority of a product’s circularity is determined during the design process, which includes used materials. Procurement can have a significant impact on the final product’s environmental and social footprint. Whilst, sustainable procurement can take some time to implement, supplemental sustainable business models such as servitization can offer an entry point to embed broader systems change within organizations.
The event aims to deliver on these points:
- Who are The Surpluss?
- What is sustainable procurement?
- Tapping into sustainable business models: challenges and opportunities
- Case studies and interactive session
- Q&A session
