Our latest Supply Chain Trends Survey shows an improving trend in order books, current sales, and margins but a negative business outlook for the next three months. The survey highlights the key supply chain issues resulting in lower future sales and margins – a shortage of shipping containers, rising shipping costs, and a shortage of road haulage capacity in the UK and European Union.

New Chief Executive for the Chemical Business Association

New Chief Executive, Tim Doggett, took the reins of the Chemical Business Association on 1 May 2021 following the retirement of the previous CEO, Peter Newport.
Tim Doggett has a thirty-year career in logistics and distribution and has held a number of senior positions in national and international companies. He was latterly Managing Director of Clugston Distribution Services Limited, a road tanker and logistics company with annual sales of £17 million. The company has a fleet of more than 100 HGVs operating throughout the UK and Europe, annual sales of £17 million, and 150 employees.

The Chemical Business Association (CBA) has named the winner of its annual Young Person Award – ANEEB CHAUDHRY, Process Engineer, Brenntag UK. CBA’s Young Person Award aims to encourage the excellence of young people – under 30
years of age - and recognise their contribution to the chemical distribution sector.
Aneeb Chaudhry holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey. He is currently responsible for the asset management and the delivery of related capital projects across the Brenntag UK network incorporating 13 chemical storage and distribution sites.
