Distributor Indices of Performance (IoP) 2019 News

CBA’s latest report on the safety, health, security and environmental performance of its distributor member companies for 2019 shows a decline in the number of transport incidents, no change in the number of on-site accidents, and a slight increase in the industry’s Lost Time Accident Rate. In 2019, no convictions were recorded against CBA member companies. In 2019, CBA members companies completed more than 1.25 million separate journeys to distribute over four million tonnes of chemicals.

Logistics Indices of Performance (IoP) 2019 News

The CBA Logistics Index, now in its fourteenth year, is based on 19 returns from haulage, warehousing, and tank farm companies that together employ 2,466 people. Measuring the health, safety, security, and environmental performance of its logistics members, offers a series of annual performance indicators comparable to those covering CBA’s distributor members that have been published since 1993 and provides an end-to-end snapshot of the UK chemical supply chain.

ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY TO BENEFIT FROM MARATHON RUN

CBA’s Chairman, Darren Budd, chose the Alzheimer’s Society as the good cause that would benefit from the charity collection at this year’s CBA Annual Lunch. Because the event was cancelled due to Covid-19, Darren is planning to run as a member of an Alzheimer’s team, in the Paris marathon in October.

The Chemical Business Association (CBA) has named the winner of its inaugural Young Person Award – ASHLEY CLINTON, an Account Manager with BTC-Europe. CBA’s Young Person Award aims to encourage young people – under 30 years of age -and recognise excellence in the chemical distribution sector.
